Dr Andrea Cavallaro

Andrea, also known as Cavallazza, is a Research Associate in the Department of Materials of the Imperial College London. He has a strong expertize on surface analysis as Low Energy Ion Scattering and dynamic and static Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry. Currently he is studying the effect of cathode surface modification on oxygen reduction for solid oxide fuel cell applications.    He is also involved in the optimization of garnet based lithium battery and two-step thermochemical water splitting. He has published 40 peer reviewed papers with over 1095 citations and h=17 (google scholar), he holds one patent about multilayer superconducting tapes by MOD technique. He has been awarded the Spanish “Juan de la Cierva” and the “Intra European Marie Curie” fellowships; he has also collaborated in several international projects.
